Rose and the Doctor return to present-day Earth and discover that a popular video game called Death to Mantodeans may be connected to the mysterious disappearance of people who have supposedly won holidays. Meanwhile, an alien war is taking place, and the Quevvils are using humans as soldiers in their fight against the Mantodeans.
