At KidsBookstore.ng, we want every order to bring joy, not stress. If something doesn’t go as expected, we’re here to make it right. Please review our returns and cancellations policy below for details on eligibility, timelines, and process.

  1. Order Cancellations

You can request to cancel your order before it is dispatched from our store.

To cancel, please contact us immediately via email or WhatsApp, providing:

  • Your order number, and
  • A brief reason for cancellation.

If your order has already been processed or handed over to our courier partner, we may not be able to cancel it. In such cases, you may refuse delivery when the parcel arrives, and the return will be handled under our standard Returns Policy (see below).

Once cancellation is confirmed before dispatch, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method within 7 business days.

We accept returns and issue refunds under the conditions below.

Eligible for Return

You may return a book if:

  • The wrong item or edition was delivered.
  • The book has a manufacturing defect, such as missing pages, misprints, or serious binding issues.
  • You report the issue within 48 hours of delivery and provide photo or video evidence.
  • The book is unused, in its original condition and packaging, with all labels intact.

Not Eligible for Return

Returns or refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • Change of mind (e.g., you no longer want the book).
  • Books that have been opened, read, or show signs of use.
  • Minor transit damage (e.g., small bends or scratches that don’t affect readability).
  • Books outside the return window.
  • Final sale or special edition items (as indicated at purchase).
  1. Return Process

If your order meets the eligibility criteria above, please follow these steps:

  • Contact us via email or WhatsApp with your order number, reason for return, and clear photos/videos of the issue.
  • Once we review and approve your request, we’ll provide a return shipping address or arrange pickup (depending on your location).
  • Please return the book within 5 days of approval, in the same condition it was received.
  • After we receive and inspect the returned item, we’ll process your refund within 7–10 business days.

Note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item shipped).

  1. Refunds

Refunds will be made to the original payment method used at checkout.
Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the funds to reflect in your account.

  1. Replacements

If you receive a wrong or defective book, you can choose a replacement instead of a refund. Replacements are subject to stock availability.
If a replacement is unavailable, we’ll issue a full refund instead.
